Ashlea Bajner, The Artist.

I am an oil painter born and raised in Florida and currently living in North Georgia. I have been drawing and painting since I was old enough to hold a pencil. I'm also a flowerchild, animal and nature lover and huge fan of the moon and stars and that comes out in my work from time to time. In school I always took art class very seriously and once I made it to high school and found out I was able to take advanced placement art classes and a college prep class naturally I signed up. Once I graduated, I quickly moved from pencil drawing to acrylic paint and finally found my place with oil paint. Initially I was terrified of oil paint but with time, we (me and the oil paint) came to an agreement and now we work together wonderfully. Having no training with oils it was a big learning curve but I stuck with it and I am so happy I did.

 

Painting is my happy place, and I feel as though each piece I create leaves a little paint smudge on my heart and a small piece of my soul is left on every canvas. Painting means more to me than just a job, it's who I am. You will almost never see me without paint on my clothes and possibly a paintbrush in my hair because I really get into my work. I didn't attend an expensive art college, and I don't know everything there is to know about art history, but what I do know is that art was always there for me growing up and I will be the best I can be as an artist as long as my hands and eyes allow.

 

I offer commission work and when I have free time I create and sell originals. On this site you will find original canvas paintings as well as prints. I take commissions through this website as well as my Facebook and Instagram pages. Pet portraits have been very popular for me as well as character paintings and movie scenes. I understand that buying art is a luxury, so I try to keep my prints priced at an affordable yet competitive price with the original canvas being more. As you navigate my website, I hope you enjoy not only looking at my previous works but also my many different art styles and wide variety of subject matter. ​​
